Below are answers to the most commonly asked questions
1. WHAT ARE THE LENGTH AND FREQUENCY OF OUR SESSIONS?
Our standard sessions are 50 minutes and take place weekly or bi-weekly according to the needs of the client.
2. HOW MUCH IS THE SESSION FEE?
The session fees vary according to insurance deductibles and copays. Typical sessions of 50 minutes are $150.00.
3. IS THERE A SLIDING SCALE?
If you are unable to seek services via insurance and cannot afford the full cost of sessions, sliding scale rates are available and will be discussed in a consultation. If the fee is not acceptable we will be happy to refer you to additional providers that may be able to work with you on a sliding scale fee.
4. DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Yes, we accept most PPOs. We are currently paneled with Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Aetna.
5. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY PRACTICES?
HIPAA and confidentiality are held to state and federal standards. A full notice of our Privacy Practices can be requested.
6. CANCELLATION POLICY?
We require at least 24 hours' notice without charge. If you cancel within 12 hours of your session, you will be offered available times to reschedule. If you are unable to reschedule, there will be no charge. If you cancel 2 hours or less or do not attend a scheduled session, you will be charged a $100.00 cancellation/no-show fee.
7. ARE IN-PERSON SESSIONS AVAILABLE?
At Prosper, our focus is telehealth. We currently only offer virtual sessions. We use a secure HIPAA platform (Simple Practice) to conduct these video sessions, which you can access on your computer, tablet, or phone. However, In-person sessions can be requested and are subject to the availability of the counselor.
8. WHAT TYPE OF SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE?
At Prosper, we offer individual and couples counseling. We also offer free 10-minute consultations to new prospective clients.
